Pakistan security forces conduct coordinated intelligence-based operations across multiple districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing 13 militants and recovering weapons
Pakistan’s Security Forces killed 13 militants linked to the banned Fitna-ul-Khawarij network during a series of intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the military’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The operations were conducted on March 6 and 7 in multiple districts following intelligence reports about militant hideouts.
In Bajaur District, security forces targeted a militant hideout, killing five terrorists during the operation. Three more militants affiliated with the Indian-sponsored Fitna-ul-Khawarij group were neutralized in separate operations in Bannu District and Dera Ismail Khan.
Another five militants were killed during operations in Khyber District and South Waziristan. Security personnel recovered weapons and ammunition from the slain militants, who were allegedly involved in multiple acts of terrorism.
Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for their professionalism and resolve.
“Security forces have once again foiled the nefarious intentions of Khawarij in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” Naqvi said, adding that terrorists would not be allowed to find safe havens anywhere in the country.
The ISPR said operations will continue as part of ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorism and maintain peace, particularly in border regions near Afghanistan.
