ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have launched a major crackdown to combat crime and apprehend professional criminals in the federal capital, under the special directives of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The operation aims to ensure the safety of citizens’ lives and property.
During the operation, police teams from Secretariat, Sumbal, Tarnol, Sohala, Shahzad Town, and Karachi Company police stations arrested 11 individuals and recovered 1,612 grams of hashish, 105 grams of ice, 40 bottles of alcohol, six pistols, and one rifle with ammunition. Cases have been registered against the suspects, and further investigations are ongoing.
Additionally, seven wanted and court-absconding criminals were apprehended during a special campaign targeting high-profile offenders. SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized that the police remain vigilant to protect citizens and will not allow any criminal activity to disrupt public safety.
Authorities urged residents to report any suspicious activities to their local police station or the emergency helpline “Pakaar” 15. Through close cooperation between the police and the public, Islamabad Police aim to maintain a safe, crime-free environment in the city.
