Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that Pakistan is ready to host meaningful negotiations aimed at ending the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.

He said that it would be an honor for Pakistan to facilitate talks if both the United States and Iran agree to participate. According to the Prime Minister, dialogue is essential for ensuring peace and stability in the region as well as globally.

Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that Pakistan welcomes ongoing diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict and is willing to play a constructive role by hosting comprehensive and result-oriented negotiations.

It is worth noting that during a recent telephone conversation between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, both leaders agreed on continuing Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting peace in the region.

Meanwhile, media reports have suggested that U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, along with officials such as Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, may represent the United States in potential talks expected to be held in Islamabad next week.

A spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Office also confirmed that Pakistan is ready to host mediation efforts if all parties agree.
