Punjab Police issues official notification for DPO Bahawalnagar transfer and new appointment
LAHORE: The Punjab Police Department has issued a formal notification announcing the transfer and new appointment of the District Police Officer (DPO) in Bahawalnagar, according to official sources on Tuesday.
Muhammad Imran has been appointed as the new DPO Bahawalnagar. Prior to this posting, he was serving as Director Personnel at PERA. The appointment comes as part of an administrative reshuffle approved by the Inspector General of Punjab.
Meanwhile, the outgoing DPO, Hafiz Kamran Asghar, has been transferred and directed to report to the Central Police Office in Lahore. Officials confirmed that he will proceed to attend the Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC), a mandatory training program for career progression within the police service.
The notification was issued by the Deputy Inspector General Headquarters following approval from the provincial police chief. Such transfers are part of routine administrative measures aimed at improving operational efficiency and leadership within the force.
