Senior official reviews governance, health, education, and development initiatives while inaugurating plantation campaign.
BAHAWALNAGAR: Irfan Ali Kathia visited Bahawalnagar to review development projects and assess the performance of government institutions, while also inaugurating a tree plantation campaign.
Upon arrival at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, the commissioner was received by Zulfiqar Ahmed Bhon and presented with a bouquet, while a police contingent offered a guard of honor. Muhammad Imran and officials from various departments were also present on the occasion.
The commissioner chaired a high-level meeting to review the overall administrative situation of the district, including law and order, development schemes, revenue matters, health, and education sectors. During the session, he issued directives to ensure the pace, quality, and transparency of ongoing development projects.
Later, the commissioner visited several public facilities, including the District Headquarters Hospital, Mother and Child Hospital, educational institutions, and Sutlej Park. He inspected healthcare services, availability of medicines, and facilities being provided to patients, while also reviewing the academic environment and examination arrangements in schools.
As part of the visit, Irfan Ali Kathia inaugurated a plantation drive by planting a sapling, emphasizing the importance of afforestation for environmental improvement and a greener Pakistan. He directed relevant departments to increase plantation efforts and ensure proper maintenance of planted trees.
The commissioner also inspected ongoing beautification projects in Chishtian tehsil, instructing officials to further improve the quality of work. He reiterated that providing maximum facilities to the public in line with Punjab government directives remains a top priority for the district administration.
During the briefing session, Zulfiqar Ahmed Bhon outlined progress on development initiatives, while the district police officer briefed on law and order conditions. The commissioner expressed satisfaction with overall performance but urged officials to accelerate efforts in resolving public issues and ensure timely completion of all projects.
