Bar Association Chief Threatens Action as Clash With Assistant Commissioner Escalates in Nowshera

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

District Bar Nowshera president intensifies pressure on administration, warning of drastic measures over alleged misuse of authority in Jhangera

A growing confrontation between the legal fraternity and local administration in Nowshera has triggered political and administrative concern after allegations surfaced against the Assistant Commissioner Jhangera over his alleged treatment of residents in Khora.

President of the District Bar Nowshera, Advocate Mian Arshad Jan, has come forward in strong support of Khora residents, accusing the Assistant Commissioner of adopting what he described as an unjust and oppressive approach. Speaking to media representatives, he alleged that innocent citizens are being arrested and implicated in fabricated cases, while legal processes such as bail applications and release of seized vehicles are being deliberately obstructed.

He further claimed that false FIRs are being registered and accused the official of treating local citizens with contempt, describing the situation as the imposition of an “unofficial and blind system of law.” According to him, such actions amount to bypassing legal safeguards and undermining the justice system.

Mian Arshad Jan emphasized that the legal community is committed to the rule of law and will not tolerate any authority that positions itself above accountability. He stated that no administrative officer has the right to act beyond legal limits, warning that continued conduct of this nature would not be acceptable under any circumstances.

The District Bar president also issued a direct demand to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Chief Secretary, calling for the immediate transfer of the Assistant Commissioner Jhangera from Nowshera district. He warned that failure to act on the demand could lead to strong protest measures, including the possibility of sealing the Assistant Commissioner’s office and rejecting official directives issued under his authority.

Other legal representatives, including General Secretary Fawad Abdul Sattar Advocate and Qazi Naseer-ul-Haq Advocate, were also present during the media interaction, signaling unified support within the legal community on the issue.

The situation has heightened tensions in the region, with growing attention on how the provincial administration responds to the escalating demands from the legal fraternity and local stakeholders.
