Key suspect Muhammad Arsalan was reportedly killed during an alleged police encounter while being taken for the recovery of evidence in the high-profile Sargodha child abuse and murder case.
A significant development has emerged in the case of seven-year-old Minhal Zahra, whose alleged rape and murder shocked residents of Sargodha and drew widespread public attention.
According to official sources, the main suspect, Muhammad Arsalan, was killed during an alleged police encounter while accompanying a Crime Control Department (CCD) team. He was reportedly being transported for the recovery of the suspected murder weapon when the incident occurred.
Sources stated that unidentified accomplices of the suspect allegedly opened fire on the CCD team near Three Bridge. During the exchange of gunfire, Arsalan was reportedly struck by bullets and died at the scene.
Police have not yet released a detailed official statement regarding the encounter, while further investigations are underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
