Suspicious Food Inspection Sparks Police Action at Islamabad Hotel

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Police launched an investigation after a woman allegedly posing as a food department officer attempted to inspect a hotel in Islamabad’s Tarnol area without presenting official identification.

Islamabad: A woman and three companions were taken into police custody after allegedly attempting to inspect a hotel while posing as officials from the food department in Islamabad’s Tarnol area, authorities said.

The incident occurred at Bannu Shinwari Hotel on GT Road, where the woman arrived with three other females and reportedly introduced herself as a food department officer. She allegedly demanded access to the hotel’s kitchen and food storage areas for an inspection.

According to hotel owner Amir Khan, the management requested the woman’s official departmental identification or service card before allowing the inspection. However, she was unable to produce any government-issued identification or supporting documents, raising suspicion among the staff.

The hotel administration immediately contacted the Police Helpline 15. Following the report, Tarnol Police Station SHO Irfan, accompanied by Tarnol Magistrate Syed Saqlain Shah, arrived at the scene to investigate the matter.

During the preliminary inquiry, officials determined that the woman had no affiliation with the food department and was allegedly impersonating a government officer in an apparent attempt to commit fraud.

Police subsequently shifted the woman and her three companions to Tarnol Police Station for further legal proceedings. Authorities said an investigation is underway to examine all aspects of the case, and further action will be taken in accordance with the law once the inquiry is complete.
