The federal government has announced a series of appointments, transfers, OSD postings and deputation-related decisions, including the appointment of a new Fisheries Development Commissioner and the formal OSD status of a suspended senior police officer.
The federal government has issued separate notifications announcing appointments, transfers, OSD postings and deputation-related decisions across multiple ministries and departments, reflecting another round of administrative changes within the federal bureaucracy.
With the approval of the Prime Minister, Dr. Muhammad Hafeez ur Rehman has been appointed as the Fisheries Development Commissioner under the Ministry of Maritime Affairs. According to the official notification, the appointment takes effect immediately on a regular basis and will remain valid until further orders. Before assuming the new role, Dr. Hafeez ur Rehman served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Pattoki.
In a separate notification issued by the Establishment Division, Waqaruddin Syed, a Grade-20 officer of the Police Service of Pakistan and the suspended former Director General of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), has been formally designated as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) with effect from October 29, 2025. He had previously been suspended over allegations of serious corruption.
The Establishment Division also released another notification concerning an officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, indicating that additional administrative decisions have been made. However, further details were not included in the information released.
