Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Karachi police recovered the entire Rs. 36 million allegedly stolen from a mobile phone trader after tracing the suspect through an intelligence-led investigation.

KARACHI: Karachi police have arrested a man accused of stealing Rs. 36 million in cash from the home of his close friend, recovering the entire amount during an intelligence-based operation. Investigators said the suspect had concealed the cash beneath a pile of sand and gravel at his residence in an attempt to avoid detection.

The case came to light after mobile phone trader Fayaz Khan reported a burglary at his home. According to police, Khan was at work while his family had traveled to their hometown, leaving the house vacant. During that time, the suspect allegedly broke into the residence and escaped with a large sum of cash.

District West Police launched an investigation immediately after the complaint was filed. Officers collected evidence from the crime scene and followed several leads before receiving confidential information pointing to the complainant’s close friend, identified as Zeeshan. During questioning, the suspect allegedly confessed to his involvement in the theft.

Acting on the suspect’s disclosure, police searched his residence and recovered the full Rs. 36 million. Authorities said the cash had been hidden beneath sand and gravel, suggesting a deliberate effort to conceal the stolen money from investigators.

Police have taken the recovered cash into custody as evidence. Officials said the amount will be returned to its rightful owner after all legal procedures are completed. They described the recovery as a successful example of timely investigation, evidence-based policing, and effective intelligence gathering.

The suspect has been handed over to the investigation wing for further interrogation. Authorities are now examining whether additional individuals were involved in planning or carrying out the burglary. Investigators are also trying to determine how the suspect became aware of the large amount of cash kept inside the victim’s home.

Police urged residents to avoid storing significant amounts of cash at home whenever possible and advised homeowners to strengthen security measures, particularly when properties are left unoccupied. They also reminded the public to exercise caution when sharing personal or financial information, even with trusted acquaintances.
