Pakistan’s armed forces pay tribute to Nishan-e-Haider recipient Major Tufail Muhammad on his 68th martyrdom anniversary.
Pakistan’s armed forces on Friday paid tribute to Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed, recipient of the Nishan-e-Haider, on the 68th anniversary of his martyrdom, honoring his exceptional courage and sacrifice in defending the country.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Naval Staff Adm. Naveed Ashraf, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, along with officers and personnel of the armed forces, paid homage to the national hero.
Major Tufail Muhammad demonstrated extraordinary bravery while leading a courageous operation against the enemy. Despite sustaining severe injuries, he remained determined and continued to lead from the front, ensuring the successful completion of his mission.
In recognition of his exceptional valor and ultimate sacrifice, Major Tufail Muhammad was posthumously awarded the Nishan-e-Haider, Pakistan’s highest military award for gallantry.
ISPR said the armed forces and the nation also remembered all martyrs who laid down their lives in defense of the country. Their courage, patriotism and sacrifices remain an enduring source of inspiration for future generations.
