Islamabad has been illuminated with the flags of Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia as the capital highlights the countries’ growing defence cooperation and fraternal ties.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s federal capital has taken on a festive appearance as Islamabad was illuminated with electric lights, national flags and LED screens following the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement involving Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia.
The special decorations have been installed at prominent locations across the city, with the national flags of the three countries displayed along Constitution Avenue. Key government buildings, including Parliament House, have also been decorated with illuminated displays and flags.
Special LED screens have been placed at strategic locations, including Constitution Avenue and Kutchery Chowk, carrying messages highlighting the historic relationship, mutual cooperation and shared defence commitment among Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia.
At night, the illuminated Constitution Avenue, Parliament House and surrounding government buildings have created a striking scene, with the three national flags displayed alongside electric lighting and digital screens.
The decorations are intended to reflect the significance of the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement and underscore the strengthening ties among the three countries. The visual display across Islamabad has also provided a public expression of the growing emphasis on mutual trust, defence cooperation and shared strategic interests.
The capital’s decorated roads and key locations have attracted considerable attention from residents, with citizens expressing appreciation for the growing cooperation between the three countries and the special arrangements made across Islamabad.
