Rain is forecast across parts of Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir as low-level flooding continues at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Guddu barrages.
Rain is expected in parts of Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir on Monday as authorities continue monitoring elevated water levels and low-level flooding at several locations along the Indus River.
According to the Flood Forecasting Division in Lahore, water levels remain higher than normal at a number of points along the river. Low-level flooding is currently being reported at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Guddu barrages.
The situation remains under close observation as river flows continue to stay elevated. Relevant departments are monitoring water levels and flow patterns to assess whether conditions could worsen following further rainfall.
The latest assessment also indicates that the situation at Chashma Barrage has returned to normal, with no low-level flooding currently being reported there.
The forecast for rain in parts of Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir could influence water levels in some areas, particularly around rivers and waterways. Authorities are therefore maintaining vigilance in vulnerable locations.
Residents living near rivers, barrages and other waterways have been advised to remain updated through official weather and flood advisories. People in areas at risk of flooding should also follow instructions issued by local administration and emergency authorities.
