Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has once again offered talks to the opposition, saying the government is prepared to sit across the table and discuss matters in the interest of strengthening democracy.
Addressing the federal Cabinet, the prime minister said the government remained ready for dialogue with the opposition. He stressed that meaningful political engagement requires participation from both sides.
“Applause comes from both hands,” the prime minister said, emphasizing that progress through negotiations depends on willingness from both sides.
Shehbaz Sharif expressed hope that the political situation would improve in the coming days. He said it was now up to the opposition to decide when it wanted to return to the negotiating table.
The prime minister urged the opposition to engage with the government through dialogue rather than allowing political differences to further widen divisions.
He said sitting together and discussing issues could help create a more constructive political environment and contribute to strengthening democratic institutions.
The latest offer comes amid continued political differences between the government and opposition. While the prime minister reiterated his willingness to negotiate, his remarks also placed responsibility on the opposition to respond to the invitation.
