Heavy snowfall has covered the suspected location of Pakistani climber Dr. Asma Mushtaq’s body, while the rescue team continues its search on Spantik.
The rescue operation for Pakistani climber Dr. Asma Mushtaq is continuing on Spantik, with the rescue team yet to locate her body at the suspected site, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said in a post on X.
Tarar said the rescue team had reached the location where Dr. Asma Mushtaq’s body was suspected to be. However, the area is extensive and heavy snowfall over the past two days has completely covered the suspected location under snow.
The conditions have made the search operation difficult, according to the minister.
Tarar said the rescue team had been searching the area for the past two hours but had not yet found the body.
“The operation continues,” he said.
