Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised security forces for thwarting an infiltration attempt near the Pak-Afghan border and killing 15 terrorists.
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has praised the officers and personnel of Pakistan’s security forces for foiling an infiltration attempt by terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan near the Pak-Afghan border close to North Waziristan.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, 15 terrorists were killed during the operation after security forces successfully thwarted their attempt to infiltrate Pakistani territory.
The prime minister commended the security forces for demonstrating professionalism, patience and courage while countering what he described as the “nefarious designs” of Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists.
He said Pakistan’s counterterrorism campaign under the government’s “Azm-e-Istehkam” initiative would continue with full force and determination until the menace of terrorism was rooted out from the country.
The prime minister also expressed pride in the country’s armed forces, saying the entire nation stood proud of their efforts to defend Pakistan’s borders and safeguard national security.
