Friday to Be Observed Nationwide as Paigham-e-Pakistan Day to Promote Peace and Unity

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

PESHAWAR: The National Paigham-e-Aman Committee on Thursday announced that Friday will be observed across Pakistan as Paigham-e-Pakistan Day, with special messages on peace, unity and harmony to be delivered during Friday sermons in mosques nationwide.

The announcement was made at a joint press conference at the Governor House in Peshawar by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and members of the committee, which includes religious scholars from all schools of thought. Governor Kundi said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was chosen to launch the campaign as the province has suffered the most due to terrorism. He paid tribute to the sacrifices of security forces, police and civilians, stating that the nation stands united with the Pakistan Army.

Paigham-e-Aman Committee Coordinator Allama Tahir Ashrafi said Paigham-e-Pakistan represents the country’s national consensus and is the most important document after the Constitution. He highlighted that the unanimous fatwa under Paigham-e-Pakistan declares terrorism and suicide bombings un-Islamic.

Ashrafi stressed that Islam is a religion of peace and that killing innocent people is strictly forbidden. He called on Afghan authorities to ensure peace, noting that many terrorist incidents originate across the border.

Committee members reaffirmed their commitment to counter extremism, promote harmony and deliver a unified message of peace from mosques across Pakistan on Friday.
