Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to Pakistan Navy personnel, martyrs and veterans, recalling their bravery during the 1965 war.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday paid tribute to the officers, sailors and civilian personnel of the Pakistan Navy on the occasion of Pakistan Navy Day, praising their professionalism, operational readiness and service to the country.
In a post on X, the prime minister also paid solemn tribute to the Navy’s martyrs and veterans, acknowledging their sacrifices in defending Pakistan’s maritime frontiers.

Shehbaz recalled the valour displayed during Operation Dwarka and by the submarine GHAZI during the 1965 war, describing those contributions as a “golden chapter” in Pakistan’s history.
He said the events remained an enduring testament to courage, precision and an unwavering resolve to defend the country’s maritime frontiers.
“The nation stands proud of the Pakistan Navy’s professionalism, operational readiness and steadfast service in safeguarding our seas and advancing Pakistan’s maritime interests,” the prime minister said.
