Mobile package tariffs increased by 12% to 22% between June 2025 and June 2026, making careful package selection increasingly important for Pakistani consumers.
Mobile phone and internet users in Pakistan are facing higher package costs after mobile tariffs increased by 12% to 22% between June 2025 and June 2026, according to a written reply submitted in the Senate.
The government said there was no evidence that telecom companies were increasing package prices by 10% to 20% every month. However, an analysis of the top 10 subscriber-wise packages offered by Jazz, Telenor, Zong and Ufone showed an overall increase of 12% to 22% during the 12-month period, equivalent to an average monthly increase of about 1% to 2%.
With mobile internet now widely used for education, social media, video calls, mobile banking, online shopping, freelancing and office work, even moderate price increases can affect users’ monthly budgets.
Jazz daily and weekly options
Jazz continues to offer several daily and weekly prepaid packages, including some regional offers.
Its Punjab Daily Offer is listed at Rs. 12, while the Weekly AIO is priced at Rs. 347, including tax. The Weekly AIO provides 5GB of data, 1,000 Jazz minutes, 90 minutes for other networks and 1,000 SMS.
For heavier users, Jazz’s Weekly Super Max costs Rs. 608, including tax, and offers 30GB of data, 1,000 Jazz minutes, 150 other-network minutes and 1,000 SMS. The package is valid for seven calendar days and does not automatically renew.
Regional offers should be checked carefully because availability can vary by location.
Zong packages
Zong’s current official listings show Daily Basic at Rs. 23 for 100MB, while Daily Data Max costs Rs. 49 and includes 1GB total data, split between 500MB general internet and 500MB YouTube data.
For weekly users, Zong’s Weekly AIO costs Rs. 370 and includes 4GB of internet, 60 off-net minutes and 5,000 Zong minutes. The company also lists a Weekly Mega Data Offer at Rs. 370, providing 100GB of data, but that data is available only from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Ufone options
Ufone also offers weekly packages for different usage patterns. Its Weekly Power Pro is listed at Rs. 500 with 15GB of internet, 300 off-net minutes and 5,000 Ufone, Telenor and PTCL minutes.
For heavier users, Weekly Power Prime offers 60GB of data, 600 off-net minutes, 6,000 Ufone, Telenor and PTCL minutes and 6,000 SMS for Rs. 600.
What should consumers check?
The cheapest package is not necessarily the best value. Before subscribing, users should check:
- Whether the data is for general internet or specific apps.
- The number of on-net and off-net minutes.
- Whether data is restricted to particular hours.
- Whether the quoted price includes taxes.
- The exact validity period.
- Whether the package renews automatically.
Consumers should also compare the cost per GB or per minute instead of looking only at the headline price.
