Information Minister Attaullah Tarar met the family of Kohat attack martyr Faheemullah and assured them that the sacrifices of law enforcement personnel would not be forgotten.
KOHAT: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar visited the home of police officer Faheemullah, who was martyred in the recent Kohat incident and was the only brother of three sisters, and expressed condolences to his family.
During the visit, Tarar met Faheemullah’s father, Ikramullah, and offered Fateha for the departed soul. He also conveyed his heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for patience and strength for them.
Tarar said the Pakistani nation would never forget the sacrifices of brave personnel such as Faheemullah, who lost his life in the line of duty.
“The martyrs laid down their lives for the peace and security of the country,” Tarar said, adding that their sacrifices would not go in vain.
He assured the bereaved families of those killed in the incident that they would not be left alone and said the government and the nation stood with them during their time of grief.
The information minister also said the entire nation stood alongside the brave personnel of law enforcement agencies in the fight against terrorism.
Tarar prayed for the elevation of Faheemullah’s ranks in the hereafter and for patience for his family.
The minister was accompanied during the visit by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz local leader Sadiq Raza, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan report.
Faheemullah was among the police personnel killed in the deadly attack in Kohat. The assault at the Old Police Lines area prompted a prolonged security operation, with police and other law enforcement personnel engaging the attackers. Subsequent reports said the death toll from the incident had risen as additional injured victims died.
