Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praises Pakistan Navy personnel for their professionalism and vigilance during a successful anti-drug operation in the Arabian Sea.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has commended the Pakistan Navy for recovering more than 2,800 kilograms of drugs during an operation in the Arabian Sea.

The prime minister congratulated the officers and personnel of the Pakistan Navy for the successful operation and praised their professional expertise, vigilance and surveillance capabilities.

Shehbaz Sharif said operations against drug smuggling by the Pakistan Navy were commendable, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office Media Wing on Saturday.

He highlighted the importance of the Pakistan Navy’s role in protecting Pakistan’s maritime boundaries and preventing illegal smuggling through the sea.

The prime minister’s remarks followed the Pakistan Navy’s recovery of more than 2,800 kilograms of drugs during the operation in the Arabian Sea.

Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the efforts of the naval officers and personnel involved in the operation and acknowledged their readiness and professional capabilities in countering maritime drug smuggling.

The prime minister also emphasized the significance of continued vigilance to safeguard Pakistan’s maritime domain and prevent the use of sea routes for illegal activities.

The Prime Minister’s Office statement did not provide further details about the type or estimated value of the drugs recovered, nor did it disclose details of those involved in the alleged smuggling attempt.
