All students were evacuated safely after the van went out of control near Lower Mohar Abrah Ahotra, with injured children taken to hospitals for further care.
MURREE: A school van carrying students from private and government schools caught fire after it went out of control and fell off the road near Lower Mohar Abrah Ahotra in Murree, rescue officials said.
According to rescue officials, the van lost control and veered off the road before falling down the roadside and catching fire. Rescue teams were dispatched to the scene and immediately began efforts to evacuate the children from the vehicle.
All the students were safely removed from the van, including those who sustained injuries in the crash. Rescue personnel provided initial medical assistance to the injured and other affected children at the scene before shifting them to Civil Hospital Murree for further treatment.
A rescue firefighting team also reached the site and brought the fire under control. Officials focused on evacuating all the children before dealing with the fire and securing the area.
The Murree deputy commissioner said the children were out of danger and their condition was stable. Some of the children were later shifted to Holy Family Hospital for further medical treatment and observation.
Authorities are assessing the circumstances surrounding the accident. The rescue operation ensured that the children were evacuated and provided with timely medical assistance following the crash.
