Pakistan’s gold market recorded a Rs2,000 increase per tola on Friday after prices fell by Rs3,000 a day earlier.
KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan rose on Friday, with the price of one tola increasing by Rs2,000 to Rs440,636, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers’ Sarafa Association.
The price of 10 grammes of gold also increased by Rs1,715, reaching Rs377,774.
The latest increase came a day after gold prices recorded a decline. On Thursday, the price of one tola had fallen by Rs3,000 to Rs438,636 from Rs441,636 on Wednesday.
Similarly, the price of 10 grammes of gold declined by Rs2,572 on Thursday to Rs376,059.
Gold prices had recorded a sharp increase on Wednesday after declining for three consecutive trading sessions. The price of one tola rose by Rs4,300 on Wednesday.
Before Wednesday’s increase, gold prices had fallen by Rs2,100 on Saturday, Sept. 26, followed by a Rs12,800 decline on Monday and another Rs800 decrease on Tuesday.
The latest movement reflects continued fluctuations in domestic gold prices, with the per-tola rate moving between gains and declines over the past several trading sessions.
