Tarar Questions KP Government’s Response to Terrorism and Condemns Alleged Double Standards

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar criticizes the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government over its alleged failure to protect citizens and respond adequately to terrorism.

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of failing to protect citizens from terrorism, calling public safety a responsibility that must take precedence over political interests.

In a statement posted on X, Tarar questioned the provincial government’s response to terrorism and alleged that, instead of taking action against militants, it was providing them with space. He also criticized the government for not holding a meeting of the provincial apex committee.

Tarar alleged that the provincial government’s approach reflected contradictory priorities, claiming that it benefited from Pakistan while showing favor toward Afghanistan.

He also referred to the sacrifices made by security personnel in the fight against terrorism, saying thousands of soldiers and officers had lost their lives. He criticized what he described as a lack of condemnation of terrorism and firing from Afghanistan.

The federal minister further questioned why anyone would prevent provincial government representatives from attending the funeral prayers of personnel killed in the line of duty. His remarks highlighted what he portrayed as inconsistencies in the government’s political stance and response to security challenges.

Tarar accused the provincial leadership of pursuing a double-standard policy and alleged links with terrorists. These assertions were part of his political criticism of the PTI-led provincial administration.

Emphasizing the need to protect residents, Tarar said political considerations should not take priority over the lives and property of the people. He argued that ensuring public safety must come before political interests.

His statement comes amid broader political disagreements over counterterrorism policy, security responsibilities and the provincial government’s approach to militancy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
