Government and relevant authorities are consulting on the proposed Oct 13 session as the date and parliamentary agenda remain under consideration.
ISLAMABAD: The date for the upcoming session of the National Assembly has not yet been finalized, while the possibility of convening the session on Oct. 7 has also diminished, according to sources.
Sources said a proposal to summon the National Assembly session on Oct. 13 is currently under consideration. However, no final decision has been taken regarding the date of the session.
Consultations between the government and relevant authorities are underway to determine the new date, sources said. The government is also expected to consult its coalition partners before finalizing the schedule.
According to sources, parliamentary affairs and legislative matters are also being reviewed ahead of the session. The government is considering finalizing relevant issues before formally summoning the National Assembly.
If the session is convened on Oct. 13, consultations will also be held on the agenda and schedule of proceedings, sources said.
Sources added that further consultations have been planned to finalize the National Assembly’s session schedule. An official announcement regarding the date will be made after the consultations are completed.
