Pakistan Armed Forces Strengthen Readiness Through Multi-Domain Operations

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Armed Forces are intensifying preparations to address the challenges of modern, technology-driven warfare through the adoption of Multi-Domain Operations (MDOs), reflecting a strategic shift aligned with evolving global combat environments.

Military officials said the concept of Multi-Domain Operations focuses on the simultaneous and coordinated use of air, land, cyber, electronic warfare, information operations and autonomous platforms under a unified command structure. This integrated approach enables actions in one domain to support and amplify effects in others, significantly enhancing operational effectiveness.

Recent exercises demonstrated the employment of air superiority, precision long-range strike capabilities and multi-role unmanned aerial systems to restrict enemy movement and operational freedom. Integrated air strikes, backed by cyber and information operations, were shown to disrupt adversary command-and-control networks and degrade decision-making processes.

The drills highlighted the use of indigenous developed weapons and advanced drones, seamlessly integrated with military systems acquired from allied nations. Officials noted that such interoperability strengthens battlefield dominance and operational readiness.

The exercises also showcased a joint warfare framework, with air and ground forces operating in close coordination to penetrate, overwhelm and neutralise hostile defences using advanced targeting systems and precision engagement.

Military leadership emphasised that the high level of professionalism and inter-services synergy demonstrated during the drills remains a key pillar of successful Multi-Domain Operations.
