Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to depart for Switzerland on Monday on an official visit, where he will attend the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos from January 19 to 23. The high-profile forum will bring together world leaders, business executives, policymakers, and representatives of international organizations to discuss key global economic and political challenges.
During the forum, more than 3,000 global leaders, senior officials, and investors from across the world are expected to participate. The Prime Minister will take part in important WEF sessions and panel discussions, sharing Pakistan’s perspective on global economic trends, regional stability, and sustainable development.
PM Shehbaz Sharif is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with several world leaders, international investors, and heads of global organizations on the sidelines of the forum. These engagements aim to promote economic cooperation, attract foreign investment, and strengthen Pakistan’s international partnerships.
The World Economic Forum will also be attended by US President Donald Trump, and a possible meeting between the two leaders is anticipated. The visit is seen as an opportunity for Pakistan to enhance its global economic engagement and highlight its reform agenda at an important international platform.
