Attaullah Tarar Pays Tribute to Former PML-N Lawmakers Mahmood Bashir Virk and Chaudhry Arshad

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar paid tribute to the late Mahmood Bashir Virk and Chaudhry Arshad during a session of the National Assembly, recalling their contributions, legal careers and longstanding association with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

Addressing the assembly, Tarar said the country had lost two respected senior figures who shared several common characteristics, including their professional backgrounds and political affiliations.

He said both men belonged to the legal profession and had each been elected to the National Assembly five times. Tarar also highlighted their close association with the PML-N, describing it as an important aspect of their public and political lives.

Recalling his personal relationship with Mahmood Bashir Virk, the information minister said he had shared a particularly close bond with him. He described Virk as a compassionate and honest individual and recalled the longstanding relationship between their families.

Tarar said their villages in Wazirabad tehsil were located next to each other, contributing to a relationship that extended across generations. He added that his family had maintained ties with Virk’s elders for several decades.

The minister said the respect and tributes being offered to the late Virk reflected the regard in which he was held. He added that Virk deserved even greater recognition for the qualities and relationships that had defined his life.

Tarar’s remarks highlighted both the shared professional and political backgrounds of the two deceased figures and the personal connections that linked them to their colleagues and communities.

Both men had served multiple terms in the National Assembly, according to Tarar, who emphasized their five-time election to the lower house of Parliament as a significant common feature of their careers.

Concluding his remarks, the information minister prayed for the eternal peace of both deceased figures. He asked Allah Almighty to grant Chaudhry Arshad and Mahmood Bashir Virk the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous.

His tribute came during parliamentary proceedings in which he remembered the two men with respect, emphasizing their association with the legal profession, their political affiliation and their longstanding relationships with fellow political figures.
