Digital Platform BAAZI Launched to Identify and Promote Young Sports Talent

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

ISLAMABAD: (Ayesha Naz) Pakistan took a primary step towards strengthening grassroots sports improvement on Thursday with the launch of BAAZI, the country’s first centralized digital sports talent identification portal, together introduced by the Inter Board Coordination Commission (IBCC) and Strawberry sports management.

The technology-driven platform, accessible at www.baazi.tv, aims to identify, nurture and promote young athletic talent from across Pakistan, including students from affiliated educational boards and overseas Pakistani students. officials said the portal will offer equal opportunities to athletes from urban centers as well as remote and underserved areas, ensuring transparency and merit-based selection.

Speaking at the launch ceremony held at the IBCC Secretariat in Islamabad, IBCC executive Director Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah said the initiative marked the beginning of a new technology in Pakistani sports where talent, rather than influence or resources, could define achievement. He emphasized that BAAZI reflects IBCC’s dedication to innovation, transparency and collaboration in sports development.

Haider Ali Dawood, founder of Strawberry sports management, described BAAZI as more than a digital portal, calling it a promise to every young athlete in Pakistan. He said the platform is designed to meet international standards and will play a critical role in figuring out talent, providing training pathways and enabling athletes to reach national-level recognition.

Officials termed the launch a milestone in Pakistan’s sports activities ecosystem and a foundation for long-term talent development.
