Imran Abbas Moves Fans with Heartfelt Poem for Late Mother

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

ISLAMABAD: Popular Pakistani actor Imran Abbas left audiences emotional after reciting a deeply personal poem dedicated to his late mother at a literary event in the capital.

The actor attended Jashn e Jaun Elia, a celebration of Urdu literature honoring the legendary poet Jaun Elia. What began as a routine literary evening turned poignant when Imran took the stage, visibly fighting back tears.

He recited verses he had written on the first Eid following his mother’s passing, describing hands that once gave him Eidi, protected him through prayers, and quietly performed charitable deeds. The poem conveyed grief longing, and the pain of unspoken words left behind.

Imran later shared that writing had become his way of coping with loss, helping him navigate the silence left by his mother’s absence. In an online message, he thanked fans for their support, requested prayers for his parents and sister, and prayed for mercy and high ranks in heaven for those who have passed. He also wished long, healthy lives for everyone’s parents.

Fans and fellow artists praised his honesty and emotional strength, with social media quickly sharing clips of the recitation. Known for hit dramas such as Khuda Aur Mohabbat Meri Zaat Zara-e-Benishan, and Noor Ul Ain, Imran revealed a quieter more vulnerable side rarely seen in public.
