Islamabad:(Ayesha Naz)-The fourth shipment of relief aid from China has arrived in Karachi, reinforcing support for Pakistan’s disaster-affected regions. The consignment, delivered by sea, included 1,000 sleeping bags, 14,000 tents, and 12,000 blankets, which were transported to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) warehouse in Karachi for further distribution.
This latest shipment is part of a series of relief consignments from China. Earlier, on December 26, 2025, the third shipment brought 100 boats, 5,000 tents, and 8,000 blankets, while the second shipment on October 4, 2025, contained 16,000 blankets, 700 tents, 1,000 life jackets, and 4,000 sleeping bags. The first shipment, received on September 28, 2025, included 9,000 blankets and 300 tents.
In total, China has provided 45,000 blankets, 20,000 tents, 100 boats, 1,000 life jackets, and 5,000 sleeping bags to support Pakistan’s ongoing relief efforts.
The NDMA assured that all resources are being mobilized to ensure timely delivery of aid to the most affected areas. Authorities emphasized that relief distribution will be carried out according to the specific needs of impacted communities, ensuring that assistance reaches those who need it most.
