Bannu:(Aziz Buneri)- In the jurisdiction of Domel Police Station, militants from Fitna-ul-Khawarij launched an attack on a police mobile van. However, timely action by the police successfully foiled the assault.
According to police sources, a fierce exchange of fire lasted for around 20 minutes during the incident, resulting in the deaths of two militants. Weapons were recovered from their possession.
DIG Sajad Khan stated that security forces, including APCs, Quick Response Forces (QRF), and Rapid Response Forces (RRF), were deployed from police lines to continue a search and clearance operation in the area. The bodies of the deceased militants were transferred to Khyber General Hospital.
DIG Sajad Khan emphasized that the zero-tolerance policy against terrorism remains fully operational in the province. He added that preventing such attacks continues to be the top priority for the police.
