Blast in Iranian Port of Bandar Abbas Kills One, Injures 14

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Reuters : At least one person was killed and 14 others injured in an explosion at a residential area in the southern Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas on Saturday. Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the blast.

The semi-official Tasnim News Agency denied social media rumors that a Revolutionary Guard Navy commander was targeted, calling the reports “completely false.” The incident occurred on Moallem Boulevard in Bandar Abbas, which hosts Iran’s most significant container port along the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil transit route.

Separately, a gas explosion in Ahvaz near the Iraqi border killed four people, according to state media.

The blast comes amid heightened tensions between Tehran, Washington, and Tel Aviv over Iran’s crackdown on nationwide protests and its nuclear programme. Iranian Army Chief Amir Hatami warned the US and Israel against attacking Iran, asserting that the country’s armed forces are on high alert and ready to defend its territory.

President Masoud Pezeshkian accused foreign powers of exploiting Iran’s economic challenges to incite unrest. He urged the government to address public grievances and warned that a just and fair administration could withstand external pressures.

The cause of the Bandar Abbas explosion remains under investigation. No foreign involvement has been reported.
