Insights from the Lahore Court Proceedings
LAHORE: (Yaseen Hashmi) In a significant development in the Bhatti Gate mother-daughter tragedy case, the Lahore District Court has ordered the release of five suspects following a reconciliation with the complainant.
Judicial Magistrate Shafqat Abbas presided over the hearing at the Lahore District Court, where the five individuals had been previously arrested in connection with the incident in which a mother and daughter fell into a manhole and died.
During the proceedings, the complainant informed the court that they no longer wished to pursue legal action against the accused and had no objection to their discharge or release. Taking the statement into account, the court approved the bail requests of the five suspects, leading to their release.
Earlier, the police had registered a case at Bhatti Gate Police Station and arrested the accused individuals in connection with the unfortunate incident.
The case had attracted significant public attention due to the tragic nature of the accident, and the court’s decision reflects a legal resolution based on mutual agreement between the parties involved.
