Riyadh: The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is participating in the World Defence Show 2026 in Saudi Arabia, showcasing its flagship JF-17 Thunder Block-III multi-role fighter jet and the Super Mushshak basic trainer aircraft, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
ISPR stated that the World Defence Show is a premier global exhibition for defence and security technologies, and PAF’s presence underscores Pakistan’s growing stature as a hub of indigenous aerospace innovation and operational excellence. The participation reflects Pakistan’s commitment to promoting defence exports and strengthening cooperation with friendly nations.
The JF-17 Block-III, regarded as the most advanced variant of the Thunder series, features state-of-the-art avionics, an advanced AESA radar, enhanced electronic warfare systems, and beyond-visual-range combat capability, placing it among modern 4.5-generation fighter aircraft designed to meet contemporary battlefield demands.
Alongside the fighter jet, the Super Mushshak trainer aircraft is also on display. Known for its reliability, affordability, and ease of maintenance, the aircraft is widely used by several air forces worldwide as a primary pilot training platform.
ISPR added that the exhibition offers valuable opportunities for international defence officials, military leaders, and industry stakeholders to explore collaboration in training, technology transfer, and defence partnerships with Pakistan.
