Key cricket board heads to meet as ICC seeks to strengthen international cricket relations
COLOMBO — The International Cricket Council (ICC) has invited Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to attend the highly anticipated Pakistan-India match. ICC Chairman Jay Shah extended the invitation, with sources confirming that Naqvi will travel to Colombo, Sri Lanka, where a meeting with Shah is expected.
During his visit, Mohsin Naqvi will also meet members of the Pakistani squad. Invitations have reportedly been sent by the ICC to Bangladesh Cricket Board President Aminul Islam and officials from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The event and associated meetings are being viewed as significant steps toward strengthening ties within the international cricket community.
