Trump Announces $5B Gaza Aid at Board of Peace Meeting

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

US President Donald Trump announced that member states of the Board of Peace will pledge over $5 billion for reconstruction and humanitarian aid in Gaza during a meeting scheduled for Thursday. The announcement was made on his social media platform, Truth Social. Trump added that member countries have also committed to providing thousands of personnel for a UN approved stabilization force and local policing efforts in Gaza.

The meeting to be held at the Donald Trump Institute of Peace marks the first formal gathering of the board with delegations from more than 20 countries expected to participate. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Ishaq Dar will represent Pakistan at the event.

The Board of Peace was established following a UN Security Council resolution as part of a US led plan aimed at ending conflict between Israel and the Palestinian resistance group Hamas in Gaza.

Ahead of the meeting Hamas set conditions for countries sending the peace force stating that the international personnel should remain at the border and avoid interference in Gaza’s civil political or security matters. Hamas emphasized that any intervention would be seen as an occupying action by the Palestinian people but welcomed the force as a protective buffer between conflicting parties.
