Glenn Maxwell Joins Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen for PSL 11

ISLAMABAD: Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen have secured a high profile signing ahead of the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League bringing Australian all rounder Glenn Maxwell into their squad. The tournament will run from March 26 to May 3.

Maxwell renowned for his explosive batting and effective off spin arrives with an impressive T20 résumé. In 129 T20 internationals for Australia he has scored 2,897 runs at a strike rate exceeding 158 registering five centuries and 12 half-centuries with a highest score of 145. He has also claimed 49 wickets underlining his value as a complete all rounder.

The 34 year old boasts extensive franchise experience having featured in major competitions including the Big Bash League Indian Premier League The Hundred, and Vitality Blast. Across more than 500 T20 matches Maxwell has accumulated nearly 11,000 runs at a strike rate above 154 alongside 196 wickets.

Maxwell is set to make his PSL debut this season adding experience and match winning ability to the Kingsmen lineup. Earlier Australia batter Marnus Labuschagne was also confirmed as a direct signing.

PSL 11 marks a significant shift with the league introducing its first player auction and expanding to include Sialkot Stallionz and Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen, intensifying squad competition.
