Bajaur Suicide Bomber Identified as Afghan National from Balkh Province

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Officials say the Bajaur Suicide Bomber, identified as Syed Ahmad alias Qari Abdullah, was previously associated with Afghan Taliban forces

BAJAUR: Authorities have identified the suicide bomber responsible for the Feb. 16 attack on a security check post in northwestern Pakistan’s Bajaur district, officials said Thursday.

According to investigative sources, the attacker was identified as Syed Ahmad, also known as Qari Abdullah alias Abu Zar. He was reportedly a native of Afghanistan’s Balkh Province and had previously served in the so-called “special forces” of the Afghan Taliban. Sources said he had also performed official duties in Afghanistan during Taliban rule.

The suicide bombing targeted a security check post in the Malangi area of Bajaur, killing 11 security personnel and two civilians. Several others were wounded in the blast.

Investigators further revealed that the attacker was not of Pashtun ethnicity. Family members identified as his uncle, Haji Syed Abdul Hameed, and cousin, Syed Abdul Basit, reportedly held condolence prayers at their residence following confirmation of his death.

Authorities said investigations remain ongoing to determine possible facilitators and cross-border links connected to the attack.
