Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif visited the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, where he received a comprehensive briefing from military leadership regarding the prevailing Pakistan Afghanistan security situation. The briefing focused on border tensions, militant threats, and the overall regional security environment.
During the visit the Prime Minister emphasized a policy of zero tolerance against what he described as the nexus between Fitna al Khawarij and the Afghan Taliban regime accusing them of involvement in hostile and subversive activities against Pakistan. He stated that any actions threatening Pakistan’s sovereignty and internal stability are unacceptable and will be dealt with firmly.
Shehbaz Sharif expressed full confidence in the leadership of Syed Asim Munir, reaffirming that the Pakistan Armed Forces remain fully prepared to defend the country against any aggression. He added that Pakistan is well aware of how to safeguard its territorial integrity and national interests.
The Prime Minister also praised the armed forces for successfully repelling attacks in border areas and commended their professional capabilities and effective response. Concluding his remarks, he said the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its armed forces in defending the homeland.
