TEHRAN: Former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, known for his fiery anti-Israel rhetoric and confrontational policies, has reportedly been killed in a targeted strike on his residence in Tehran. Ahmadinejad, Iran’s sixth president (2005–2013), rose from mayor of Tehran to national prominence by defeating establishment figure Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.
