Iranian Supreme National Security Council head Ali Larijani criticizes Trump’s “America First” policies, calling them destabilizing and risking U.S. troops’ lives
Tehran: Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Chief, Ali Larijani, firmly stated that Tehran will not engage in any negotiations with the United States. In a statement shared on social media platform X on Monday, Larijani criticized U.S. President Donald Trump’s policies, arguing they have destabilized the region and endangered the lives of American troops.
Larijani said Trump’s Ali Larijaninrealistic decisions have heightened tensions across the Middle East, and he now expresses concern over potential American military casualties. “The slogan ‘America First’ has in reality turned into ‘Israel First,’ putting U.S. soldiers at risk to serve Israeli interests,” Larijani added.
He accused Trump of attempting to shift the burden of his failed policies and reputational damage onto U.S. forces and their families. Larijani stressed that Iran’s armed forces have not initiated any aggression, and the Iranian nation is exercising its legitimate right to self-defense.
Rejecting recent claims that Iranian officials were willing to negotiate with the Trump administration, Larijani emphasized in no uncertain terms that Iran will not enter talks with the United States.
