PM Shehbaz to Brief Opposition on Regional Crisis

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to take opposition parties and key political leaders into confidence regarding the current national and regional situation.

According to sources, the prime minister will brief leaders of the opposition from both houses of Parliament along with parliamentary leaders at the Prime Minister’s House. Opposition leaders have been formally invited to attend the session scheduled for 11:30 am.

The briefing is expected to focus on Pakistan’s foreign policy in light of the evolving Middle East crisis, particularly following recent developments involving Iran. Officials will also provide updates on ongoing operations along the western border concerning the Afghan Taliban regime.

However, sources indicate that the opposition has not yet finalized its decision to attend the meeting at the Prime Minister’s House. During a recent interaction with a government delegation, opposition leaders sought additional time for consultation.

Leaders from both houses have reportedly insisted that the briefing should instead be held in Parliament. The opposition maintains that all lawmakers should be taken into confidence through an in-camera session of Parliament to ensure transparency and collective decision-making during this sensitive period.
