ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has reassured the public that sufficient stocks of petrol and diesel are currently available across the country urging citizens not to pay attention to rumors regarding fuel shortages.
In an official statement an OGRA spokesperson emphasized that there is no disruption in the supply chain and that petroleum products are being distributed smoothly nationwide. The public was advised to rely only on information issued through official sources and avoid spreading unverified claims that could create unnecessary panic.
The spokesperson further directed oil marketing companies to discourage hoarding during periods of sharp price fluctuations. Authorities warned that any attempt to manipulate supply for speculative gains would be dealt with strictly in accordance with regulations.
OGRA also instructed oil marketing companies to continue supplying petroleum products according to their established distribution patterns to ensure uninterrupted availability at fuel stations.
The clarification comes amid concerns fueled by market volatility, but regulators maintain that current reserves are more than adequate to meet national demand, and there is no immediate risk of shortage.
