Pakistan has strongly condemned the recent attacks targeting Turkiye and Azerbaijan, warning that such incidents threaten regional stability. In a statement the Foreign Office of Pakistan described the attacks as a violation of international law and the fundamental principles governing relations between states.
Pakistan expressed deep concern over the developments and urged all parties involved to exercise restraint.The statement emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable paths to resolving disputes and preventing further escalation.
“Pakistan stands firmly with Turkiye and Azerbaijan and calls for collective efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region the Foreign Office said.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan has lodged a formal protest with Iran after two drones reportedly crossed the border into its territory and injured two people near an airport in the Nakhchivan region.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Iran’s ambassador in Baku was summoned and handed a diplomatic note over the incident, which officials said violated Azerbaijan’s sovereignty.
Baku has called on Tehran to clarify the circumstances surrounding the drone incursion and take measures to prevent similar incidents in the future, while reserving the right to take appropriate response actions.
