Sindh Orders Online Classes in Universities from March 16 to 31

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

The Government of Sindh has directed all public and private universities across the province to conduct online classes from March 16 to March 31 as part of measures aimed at conserving fuel amid rising global energy concerns.

Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards Ismail Rahoo announced the decision, stating that the provincial government has also ordered a 50 percent reduction in the use of official vehicles and fuel quotas in universities.

According to the minister, the move has been taken in response to the global crisis and increasing fuel prices, which have intensified due to the ongoing tensions in the Middle East. He added that the government plans to implement a 50 percent fuel cut across all government departments for the next two months.

Rahoo further instructed universities to ground 60 percent of their official vehicles immediately to help reduce fuel consumption.

Earlier, the provincial government had also decided to close schools across Sindh from March 16 to March 31, following similar measures taken by the Government of Punjab.

Authorities say these steps are necessary to manage resources and address the impact of rising fuel costs.
