ISLAMABAD – The British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Jane Marriott, met with Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence to discuss Pakistan’s political and regional security situation. The meeting was confirmed in a statement released by Jamiat Ulema e Islam (F).

During the discussion, both sides reviewed the security and political developments in Pakistan as well as in neighboring countries, including Afghanistan Israel United States Iran and the Gulf States.

The statement highlighted that both parties agreed on enhancing Pakistan-UK relations and improving diplomatic cooperation. Maulana Fazlur Rehman emphasized the importance of the UK playing a constructive role in ensuring regional security and stability.

Responding Jane Marriott said that the UK is actively engaged with all relevant countries and continues to fulfill its diplomatic responsibilities. The meeting underscores ongoing dialogue between Pakistani political leaders and international representatives to address pressing regional and bilateral concerns, including peace security and cooperation in South Asia and the Middle East.
