Iranian Foreign Minister: We Never Asked the US for a Ceasefire, Ready to Defend Ourselves

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran has never requested a ceasefire from the United States and remains fully prepared to defend itself as long as necessary.

In an interview with US media, Araghchi said Iran has shown no interest in negotiations and is not willing to enter talks or a ceasefire. He emphasized that Iran’s actions are defensive, and there is no reason to engage in dialogue with the US, citing previous attacks as evidence.

Araghchi also mentioned that several countries have contacted Iran regarding passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

This comes amid US President Donald Trump claiming Iran wants to negotiate, although he suggested conditions are not yet suitable.
