Islamabad: Following the ICC’s decision to exclude Bangladesh from the T20 World Cup, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is reportedly exploring options, including a possible boycott of its match against India on February 15 in Colombo. Sources suggest that if Pakistan chooses not to play against India, it may only lose two points, but the ICC would face significant financial losses.
The PCB is keeping its options open regarding participation in the tournament. The board’s chairman is expected to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today to discuss the next steps.

Bangladesh had earlier refused to travel to India citing security concerns and requested that its matches be moved to Sri Lanka, but the ICC denied the request and replaced Bangladesh with Scotland in the group stage. PCB sources claim that Pakistan’s stance is principle-driven, rejecting what it sees as the ICC’s double standards.
