Poets, journalists, and political figures gathered at the District Press Club Wana event promoting peace, culture, and literary expression.
A literary gathering titled the annual “Mande Gul” Mushaira was organized at the hall of the District Press Club Wana in Wana, where a large number of local poets, journalists, and political figures participated.
During the event, two newly published books were officially launched, which participants described as a positive step toward the promotion of literature and intellectual growth in the region.
Poets from Wana presented thought-provoking and emotionally rich poetry, earning strong appreciation from the audience. The literary session highlighted themes of peace, love, cultural values, and social harmony, creating an engaging and reflective atmosphere.
Prominent speakers, including Amin Jan, President of Wana Pashto Adabi Tolana, and renowned poet Umar Shah Koti, emphasized that such literary events send a clear message of peace from South Waziristan and showcase the region’s desire for development and stability.
Speakers noted that literary activities play a vital role in encouraging creativity, awareness, and positive thinking, especially in areas that have faced social and economic challenges.
